CHAPTER 12. PUBLIC PROPERTYCHAPTER 12. PUBLIC PROPERTY\Article 3. Lots For Interment

(a)   Price of Lots and Grave Spaces. All grave spaces shall be sold according to the following schedule:

All Blocks

1/4 Lot (1 grave space)                       $300.00

1/2 Lot (2 grave spaces)                     $425.00

Full Lot (4 grave spaces)                    $725.00

Issuance of Deed. Upon the presentation to the City Clerk of the purchase money, there shall be issued to the purchaser a certificate of purchase under the seal of the City, which certificate shall be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the City Clerk, and such certificate so signed as aforesaid shall convey the estate which, by law in such case made and provided, is intended to be conveyed for the sole purpose of interment.

(b)   Transfer of Lots to Others. Should the owner or owners of any lot or lots in the cemetery of the city desire to transfer the same, he or they shall first execute a certificate therefore to the City of Florence and deliver the same to the City Clerk, who will in turn execute to the purchaser of such lot or lots a certificate of such purchase under the seal of the City, signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the City Clerk, conveying the estate which by law is intended to be conveyed for the sole purpose of interment. A transfer fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) shall be paid to the City Clerk by such purchaser for the issuance of the new certificate. No transfer of any kind of any lot or lots shall be recognized by the City of Florence for any purpose if done or attempted to be done in any manner other than provided herein.

(c)   Single Grave Space-Full Lot. A single grave space shall not be sold from any full lot or part thereof which contains an even number of grave space.

(1)   Single grave space exception; single grave space (¼ lot) are allowed in a designated area within the cemetery.

(A)  Lots no. 489 thru 491, 516 thru 514 and 517 thru 519

(B)  Lots will be sold South to North, starting with lot 489

(C)  Each lot will be required to be filled, prior to selling the adjoining lot.
