The Florence Cemetery Rules and Regulations dated February 1994, are hereby adopted and incorporated. All owners of lots or grave spaces, and all persons who may be upon the premises of the cemetery for any reason, shall he subject to said rules and regulations and amendments or alterations thereto as shall be adopted by the Governing Body of the City from time to time; and the reference to these rules and regulations in the deed or certificate of ownership to lots shall have the same force and effect as it set forth in full therein.

Not less than three (3) copies of said ordinance which includes Rules and Regulations adopted February 1994, are incorporated in this article as are all subsequent ordinance changes and shall be a part of this article. Hereafter, any and all ordinance revisions shall be incorporated in this chapter, and shall be open for inspection and available to the public at all reasonable business hours.

Every person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of the Cemetery’s Rules and Regulations shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00.

(a) Cemetery Management. The city cemetery for the purpose of administration shall be operated by the City and shall be under the supervision and control of the Sexton who shall enforce the provisions of the ordinances pertaining to said cemetery and rules and regulation governing the same and shall he subject to the orders of the City Council.
(b) Cemetery Sexton; Appointment. The City Council may appoint a suitable person to act as Cemetery Sexton and to have immediate care of the cemetery grounds and lots. The City Council shall employ such other persons as may be necessary for the proper care, maintenance and operation of the cemetery.
(c) Cemetery Sexton: Duties. The Cemetery Sexton shall have the custody and care of all personal property of the City in or about the cemetery. He shall cause all persons within such cemetery to observe the rules and regulations pertaining to conduct therein and the care and adornment of cemetery lots. He and his assistants shall open any grave upon a permit thereto from the City Clerk, close all graves and make such reports upon any burial as may be required. The Cemetery Sexton shall report all violations of cemetery rules and regulations to the City Council and his action relative thereto.
