These plantings shall be permitted providing they are not a spreading, crawling or vine-type plant, and as regulated by 12-503 below.

Any planting or installations in 12-501 and 12-502 above shall conform to the following regulations:
(a) The type and location for planting any perennial flowers shall be approved by the Cemetery Council or Sexton.
(b) Placement of cut flowers or artificial flowers, and excavations for planting of seasonal flowers and perennial flowers shall be confined to the area within eight (8) inches of the foundation of the marker or monument, and shall not. extend onto the grave.
(c) Planting of large size bush-type perennial flowers shall be limited to the area at the ends of the marker or monument.
(d) Smaller perennial or seasonal flowers, cut flowers and artificial flowers may be placed at the front, back. or ends of the marker or monument.
(e) Artificial flowers, wreaths and cut flowers shall be placed and secured in a manner that they will not become dislodged or scattered by the wind.
(f) Damaged or faded artificial flowers or wreaths, and neglected, unkept or dead flowers and plants may be removed by the Cemetery Sexton as necessary to maintain the attractive and neat appearance of the cemetery.

Seasonal flowers, cut flowers, artificial plants or flowers, and wreaths shall be permitted on the entire grave space area for a period of five (5) days preceding and twenty-one (21) days following Memorial Day, and for twenty-one (21) days immediately following the date of interment of the deceased.

Any unauthorized plantings or objects on the graves or lots may be removed by the Cemetery Sexton. Such objects as floral frames, vases, etc., removed by the Cemetery Sexton may be disposed of if not claimed by the owner within fourteen (14) days after removal.

Walls, fences and curbing of lots or grave spaces are prohibited, except as may be constructed by the City.
(a) A retaining wall, fence or curbing which is presently in place may be removed by the City when the Cemetery Sexton determines that the improvement is in such poor condition that it is detrimental to appearance and maintenance of the cemetery. The owner of the lot will be given notice, if possible, to repair such improvement: and if he does not proceed with the repair within a reasonable time, the Cemetery Sexton may proceed with the removal.

All graves shall be flush with the surrounding ground level, and shall not be mounded or maintained without turf, except for new graves which have not settled. ·
