Article 4. Personnel Policy and Employee Benefits
There is hereby incorporated by reference for the purpose of establishing employee personnel rules and regulations the document entitled “Uniform Personnel Policies and Guidelines for the City of Florence.” No fewer than three copies of said document shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy as adopted by the Code of the City of Florence” and which there shall be attached a copy of this section. Said official copies shall be filed with the city clerk and shall be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours. All departments of the city shall be supplied with copies of such rules and regulations as may be deemed necessary.
(a) The City of Florence, Kansas, in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A.12-16,102 does hereby establish an employee benefits contribution fund for the purpose of paying the City’s share of employee benefits prescribed by subsection (b).
(b) The City’s share of the cost of employee benefits (for eligible employees) authorized for payment from the fund created by subsection (a) shall include the following:
(1) Social security (FICA);
(2) Kansas public employees retirement system (KPERS);
(3) Workmen’s compensation benefits;
(4) Employment security, unemployment compensation benefits;
(5) Medical, health, and hospitalization insurance.
